📋 Description

• Investigate legacy applications, scripts, and manual processes to understand their purpose, dependencies, and actual behavior • Document system behavior and maintain a knowledge base • Decide whether capabilities should be kept, replaced, consolidated, automated, or retired • Create and maintain a prioritized modernization roadmap aligned with business priorities and deadlines • Coordinate initiatives from discovery through release and handover • Collaborate across engineering, QA, Operations, business stakeholders, the managed service provider, and outside partners • Ensure shipped work has requirements, documentation, monitoring, and an accountable owner • Track material risks through resolution • Convert recurring manual work into reusable AI-assisted workflows for discovery, documentation, planning, and risk tracking

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in product management, technical discovery, systems analysis, legacy modernization, or a similar hybrid technical/delivery role, with product management experience required within that mix • Experience with application architecture, APIs, databases, integrations, reporting, scheduled jobs, and cloud and on-prem infrastructure • Ability to investigate unfamiliar, poorly documented systems by reading code, interviewing stakeholders, and reconstructing undocumented context • Ability to translate business and operational needs into engineering-ready requirements and plans, including architecture diagrams, runbooks, and monitoring/support handoff documentation • Understanding of software delivery, release management, observability, support, and operational handover • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across engineering, business stakeholders, and external partners • Readiness to challenge missing information and assumptions • Hands-on experience using AI for investigation, analysis, documentation, or workflow improvement • Ability to read .NET code and architecture to evaluate designs and sanity-check engineering work • Experience with transaction systems or reporting platforms is a bonus • Experience with Windows-based legacy applications and hybrid cloud/on-prem infrastructure is a bonus • Experience working with or managing relationships with a managed service provider is a bonus
