📋 Description

• Bring accounting in-house globally for SPARETECH's German GmbH and US Inc. • Perform bookkeeping, revenue recognition, and consolidation • Ensure accounting accuracy, quality, and compliance with German and US requirements • Build an accounting function that scales with the business • Take responsibility for bookkeeping, month-end close, and annual financial statements for German and US entities • Own revenue recognition, purchase-to-pay, and order-to-cash accounting • Maintain correct balance sheet bookings and asset tracking • Design and run the consolidation process across both entities • Select and roll out a scalable global accounting and consolidation solution • Build on the current DATEV setup in Germany and NetSuite setup in the US • Act as the go-to accounting contact for tax advisors and auditors • Collaborate closely with the VP Finance and small finance team

🎯 Requirements

• Ideally 3 to 8 years of accounting experience, including accounting in a startup • Experience at a Big 4 or mid-tier audit firm is a plus • Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB), including experience with consolidation • Experience with revenue recognition in a SaaS or subscription business • University degree in accounting, finance, or business • Professional qualification such as ACCA or CPA is a plus • Knowledge of US accounting standards (US GAAP) is a plus • Experience with DATEV, NetSuite, or implementing accounting software is a plus • Interest in automating processes, including with AI tools • Ability to perform bookkeeping hands-on while maintaining the bigger picture • Ability to work independently, pragmatically, and solution-oriented in a scaling company • Eagerness to learn and seek new challenges • Fluent in German and English
