📋 Description

• Build and ship backend features end to end, including design, implementation, tests, review, and deployment • Evolve the AI-native platform that automates residential real estate transaction coordination in the US market • Move the platform from SQLite-friendly to production PostgreSQL, including schema parity, cutover rehearsal, verification, concurrency testing, and rollback • Implement reliable singleton or lease-based ownership for the heartbeat worker and separate it from the admin API service • Integrate DocuSign for envelope creation, signer mapping, signature requests, webhooks, status tracking, completed-document handling, follow-ups, failures, and retries • Harden the email layer for inbound thread and attachment resolution, deterministic outbound generation, review and approval queues, and delivery tracking • Maintain tenant isolation and authority across queries, credentials, exports, and integrations using action-scoped RBAC, approvals, human review gates, and append-only audit trails • Move prompt and model configuration into the prompt registry and model router without changing verifier behavior • Build the backend for a voice-driven contract drafting agent, including structured offer data, draft generation, validation, approval, and workflow handoff • Write application, PostgreSQL integration, and mutation contract tests • Instrument health, error rates, worker heartbeat age, queue age, retry depth, provider failures, pool saturation, and slow queries • Collaborate within SPD Technology's expert team to deliver custom technology solutions for clients

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience with Python and strong hands-on experience with Django • Deep knowledge of Django beyond REST/CRUD development, including ORM behavior under load, migrations, transactions, management commands, and background processing • Strong production experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design, migrations, query analysis and optimization, connection pooling, transactions, locking, advisory locks, and concurrent database access • Hands-on experience with AWS services such as ECS/Fargate, RDS, S3, SQS, SES, Secrets Manager, IAM, ECR, and CloudWatch • Proficiency in Docker and experience with container-based application deployment and releases • Proven experience building and operating integrations with third-party APIs, including signed webhooks, idempotency, retries, reconciliation of missed events, and explicit failure handling • Experience designing and maintaining multi-tenant applications with tenant-scoped data access, role-based authorization, and audit trails • Strong understanding of backend architecture, asynchronous processing, data integrity, reliability, and production troubleshooting • Ability to own backend functionality end to end, from technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, and production support • Strong engineering mindset and sound technical decision-making where reliability, security, and data consistency are critical • English — Upper-Intermediate or higher • Ukrainian — fluent/native • Bonus: experience with PDF processing and OCR pipelines, especially AWS Textract • Bonus: production experience integrating LLMs, including structured output validation, prompt versioning, model/provider fallback, and cost optimization • Bonus: experience with DocuSign or other e-signature APIs • Bonus: experience designing document or workflow state machines • Bonus: experience in compliance-heavy domains such as legal, fintech, insurance, or healthcare • Bonus: experience with voice, speech-to-text, or conversational AI pipelines • Bonus: experience with AI-powered automation involving human review and approval • Bonus: familiarity with observability and production monitoring practices for distributed backend systems
