📋 Description

• Set up, adjust, and operate survey equipment, data collectors, and GPS systems to measure distances, elevations, and angles. • Conduct surveys to measure soil or rock grade, assessing elevations for grading and ensuring alignment with design specifications. • Read and interpret design plans, providing accurate survey data to ensure construction work meets design requirements. • Establish control networks vertically and horizontally using GPS systems. • Set up and calibrate base station poles for future use. • Install and manage survey files on GPS-equipped construction equipment such as dozers and motor graders. • Troubleshoot and resolve machine control issues. • Organize and maintain survey data, including field notes and project files, using SharePoint, Propeller, and Data Collectors. • Mentoring others in survey techniques and the use of GPS systems.

🎯 Requirements

• Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time to support multiple job sites across the U.S • Two-year technical engineering/surveying training or combination of high school diploma and experience. (A professional license is not required but is a plus). • Strong working knowledge of surveying equipment and techniques, including Topcon GPS, Trimble GPS, Base Stations, machine controls, and lasers. • Prior experience using Topcon products is preferred. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and design plans. • Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations. • Competence in Bluebeam, Excel, and other Microsoft Office applications. • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record. • Proficiency in spoken and written English is a mandatory requirement for this role, as it is essential for understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and participating in team communications.
