📋 Description

• Design and analyze residential and light commercial structures including slabs, footings, retaining walls, steel framing, timber, and masonry structures. • Develop structural design calculations and documentation using relevant Australian Standards (AS 2870, AS 3600, AS 4100, AS 3700, AS 1720). • Prepare engineering drawings, technical reports, and detailed specifications. • Review and verify structural integrity of design outputs prior to submission. • Support civil and stormwater design including on-site detention (OSD), stormwater drainage, and hydraulic impact assessments. • Prepare design drawings, concept layouts, and modeling outputs using DRAINS or similar civil software. • Review site layouts and prepare driveway crossover designs and swept path analysis as required. • Respond to RFIs, update design revisions, and maintain documentation accuracy. • Coordinate with project engineers, drafters, and clients to ensure project alignment. • Participate in internal QA reviews and ensure compliance with Australian building codes and project standards.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Licensed Civil Engineer preferred) • 5+ years of experience in civil and structural design, ideally within a consultancy or design office. • Experience in residential or small commercial structures is essential. • Demonstrated knowledge of Australian Standards is highly advantageous. • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SpaceGass, RAPT, Inducta, Strand7, or similar analysis software. • Working knowledge of DRAINS or equivalent stormwater software is desirable. • Experience in MS Office, Revit, or BIM tools is a plus. • Excellent communication and documentation skills. • Strong attention to detail, initiative, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
