📋 Description
• Support R Street research project on regulations for transportation network companies in the 50 states and D.C. • Analyze the financial performance of Florida-focused insurance companies • Support R Street Finance, Insurance & Trade scholars as needed • Compile list of the 100 largest civil litigation awards (and H1 2024 if possible) and describe the lawsuits at a high level • Contrast cases to prior years • Participate in Stand Together Fellowships' professional development programming and a 2-day in-person summit • Gain meaningful professional experience at a partner nonprofit organization
🎯 Requirements
• Geographically located within the U.S. • Authorized to work in the U.S. through the duration of the program • Familiarity and basic work with Excel to create spreadsheets • Good research skills to find sources for information in research projects • Ability to work relatively solo in large project • Mature communication skills to seek help from R Street staff or other experts • Three letters of recommendation from professors, advisors or other adults who know you well • Interest in the business or public policy world • Intellectual curiosity to identify efficient research methods for the projects
🏖️ Benefits
• Paid 12-week internship (stipend) • $7,500 stipend for full-time (40 hours/week) • $5,500 stipend for part-time (24 hours/week) • 2-day in-person summit at Stand Together's Headquarters in Arlington, Virginia • Virtual professional development programming every other Thursday between 1- 3:30 pm ET • Meaningful professional experience at non-profits • Professional development focused on principles of a free society
