📋 Description
• Lead formative research activities supporting public health communication initiatives • Conduct environmental scans to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities in public health messaging • Design and implement qualitative and quantitative research, including message testing • Translate behavioral science insights into evidence-based communication strategies • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including communications, digital, and evaluation staff • Develop research reports, presentations, and documentation supporting program deliverables • Coordinate research activities to ensure compliance with federal research standards and guidelines • Participate in occasional travel to support project activities and coordination with federal stakeholders
🎯 Requirements
• Master’s or PhD in Public Health, Behavioral Science, Health Communication, or related field • 8–12 years of experience conducting public health research and message testing • Demonstrated experience applying behavioral science to communication strategy development • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance • Strong experience designing and implementing qualitative and quantitative research methods • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Human Subjects Research certification preferred
