📋 Description

• Check gram weight on Ishida operation terminal • Ensure all bags are running correct weights • Ensure all bags are in registration, both in cutoff and side to side registration • Ensure all bags are code-dated properly with both price and date legible and in proper position on face of bag • Change code dates in Video Jet printer system • Ensure bags are sealed properly on both the back seal and the end seal • Adjust platen to make a good back seal • Add/remove air from bags • Clear weigher faults • Perform a zero and span adjustment on weigher • Ensure bag appearance is acceptable • Change knife blades • Change bag speed in packaging machines and weighers • Keep machines clean daily • Clean machine inside and outside when not running • Clean machine platforms during shift and before shift change • Keep all formers off the floor • Keep all formers cleaned and properly covered when not in use • Keep entire area under and around the machine clean and help sweep packing area • Keep all cellophane off the floor at all times • Keep all code-dating supplies cleaned and organized. Keep all code date supplies put away when not in use. Do not leave code date supplies sitting on the machines • Have machines set up and cleaned that are scheduled to be started on the following shifts • Empty machines of all products when shutting them down • Before going to break, make sure there is enough cellophane on the machines to run while you are on break and another PMO has your machine covered • Weigh defected film, record defect and place film in defective area provided • Keep infeeds, dispersion table, scales, etc. free from buildup • Operate the Video-Jet printers in addition to the Inkjet printer • Change the Inkjet printer ribbon as needed • Perform changeovers in a timely manner with minimal film waste including ordering and returning materials and following/understanding line sheets • Perform a complete “Tear down” and “Setup” of the packing machine and scale system • Accurately weigh all cellophane not being used and place on cello shelf in the proper location • Pour on bulk before end of shift • Rework WIP created from metal detector testing • Perform preventative maintenance on all machines and packing equipment • Operate all fastbacks systems via the panel view • Must know how to start up and shut down all fastback systems and packing equipment • Ensure all allergens are cleaned prior to starting a non-allergen run • Navigate through screens on packaging machines and weigher • Replace sponge tape on former • Replace pull belts • Assist QC during drop through metal detector checks by resetting packing machines • Reworking WIP created from metal detection testing • Perform jaw alignments • Proficient in the Weigh Pack operation, setup, changeover, cleaning, troubleshooting, and running the work cell • Proficient in the Auto Tub line operation, setup, changeover, cleaning, troubleshooting, and running the work cell • Must be able to troubleshoot and repair equipment that is down. Make note of the repairs that are made and if the repair is recurring. Work with maintenance and Packaging Specialist as needed. • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

🎯 Requirements

• High School diploma or GED • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals • Ability to write correspondence, ability to speak effectively to employees of the organization • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals and metric to SAE conversions; mm to inches, grams to ounces • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form • Have a clear understanding of how to safely operate packaging machinery • LOTO understanding • Understand the major components of the packaging machine; names with function of each component (diagram) • Understand the components of the weigher; names with function of each component (diagram)
