📋 Description

• File and litigate cases in federal court in compliance with the FRCP, local rules, and CM/ECF (PACER) • Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs for state and federal court • Conduct case assessments, investigations, and legal research • Propound and respond to discovery; review pertinent documents • Take and defend depositions; attend court appearances • Pre-trial preparation and trial participation • Negotiate settlements and meet all calendar deadlines • Hands-on litigation experience in federal court, from filing through resolution, under the FRCP • Drafting and arguing motions (12(b)(6), summary judgment, motions to compel) and responding to complex federal motions • Managing discovery, including initial disclosures, interrogatories, RFAs/RFPs, ESI, and protective orders • Experience with Rule 26(f) conferences, scheduling reports, and case management conferences • Taking/defending depositions and preparing pretrial documents (witness lists, exhibit lists, motions in limine) • Arguing motions and appearing before federal judges and magistrates; trial experience a strong plus

🎯 Requirements

• Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines with attention to detail • Works efficiently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment • Excellent analytical, writing, research, and communication skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CM/ECF (PACER), and document management software • Familiarity with local rules of at least one California federal district court • CA State Bar, in good standing (required) • Active admission to at least one California federal district court (required) • 3–5 years of litigation experience; federal court experience strongly preferred • Lemon Law or consumer protection experience (a plus)
