📋 Description

• Provide in-person O&M assessments and direct services per IEP requirements. • Communicate with parents, teachers, and students to develop consistent service schedules. • Develop IEP goals relevant to the educational setting • Teach travel skills including sensory efficiency, cane techniques, orientation strategies, and environmental awareness. • Provide appropriate accommodations, modifications, and assistive technology recommendations to school staff. • Maintain compliance with state, and school regulations. • Maintain accurate documentation including service logs and progress reports. • Collect data to track progress toward IEP goals. • Provide training and guidance to families and staff. • Participate in IEP meetings and school team activities. • Maintain a professional work environment and dependable schedule.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Orientation & Mobility Specialist • Valid state certification in Orientation & Mobility as required by the state department of education
