📋 Description

• Scope and lead large technical projects, translating business goals into clear technical requirements and executing effectively. • Align our tech stack with Stripe’s broad strategic initiatives, while also advocating for the needs of the emerging new businesses. • Work with engineers across the company to deliver comprehensive and reliable access to trustworthy banking data. • Balance the tradeoffs between short-term requirements and long-term roadmaps. Make decisions that consider business priorities, user experience, and sustainable technical foundations. • Mentor and collaborate with other engineers and managers to grow the next generation of leaders at Stripe.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong technical background, including 3+ years of experience designing and engineering large-scale systems • Comfortable working on a new product under fluid conditions, seamlessly balancing tactical and strategic considerations • Track record of leading and shipping complex cross-team projects end-to-end — from scoping and design through production and operations • You measure your success in terms of business impact, not lines of code • Ability to thrive with a high level of autonomy and responsibility and an entrepreneurial mindset • Work well cross-functionally and earn trust from co-workers at all levels. You are often cited as the inspiration for engineers that join your team • Prefer simple solutions and designs over complex ones, and have a good intuition for what will last and scale • Care deeply about mentorship and growing engineers
