📋 Description

• Write backend code and tests using open source technologies • Improve code quality through testing, refactoring, and peer reviews • Champion software quality, innovation, and appropriate technology choices • Work effectively in an Agile Scrum team and participate in stand-ups, planning sessions, showcases, and retrospectives • Collaborate with business stakeholders and internal users to design and deliver products • Contribute to end-to-end user stories and iterative technical design • Perform root cause analysis to prevent recurring mistakes • Contribute to coding standards and guidelines and model adherence • Support solutions operationally after hours on a rotating schedule of one week per month • Work in a cross-functional squad of 10 BE/QA/DevOps engineers with an Architect and Tech Lead • Develop within a high-load, integration-heavy iGaming platform environment

🎯 Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of Java, Spring Boot and associated technologies: JUnit, Web Application Servers (e.g. Jetty/Tomcat), Gradle/Maven • Strong knowledge of MySQL and writing optimized database queries • Thorough understanding of architectural software concepts, Object-Oriented, MVC/MV* architectures, asynchronous server communication • Knowledge of multi-threaded programming and concurrency • Experience in the design and development of RESTful web services • Knowledgeable in web software architectures and design patterns • Champion agile principles and advocate for Continuous Delivery, TDD, and Refactoring • Familiarity with a tracking system such as JIRA • Aptitude and willingness to learn the business domain and new technologies • Familiarity with Groovy, Spock, Hibernate • Experience with cloud services like AWS or Google App Engine • Experience using Google Analytics and logging services like Datadog, Grafana, and Splunk • Experience using Docker to automatically build new environments for development and testing • Track record of delivering scalable applications performant under high traffic volumes • Comfortable working in a Linux environment with scripting languages
