📋 Description

• Provide timely, proactive and commercially focused legal advice across commercial matters • Draft and negotiate contracts, advise on high-value transactions and strategic initiatives, prepare correspondence, and support dispute resolution • Partner with Aviation Growth & Group Strategy, Commercial, Operations and other business functions • Negotiate directly with counterparties and legal representatives • Identify, assess and manage legal risk across Sydney Airport operations and strategic initiatives • Advise on technology, data-sharing, consumer law and marketing activities • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and provide practical guidance • Deliver training, workshops and presentations to build legal awareness • Review and update legal precedents and templates in plain English • Manage external legal advisors, monitor legal spend and ensure matters are cost-effective • Contribute to continuous improvement within the Legal function and broader business processes

🎯 Requirements

• Law degree • Current practising certificate • Significant post-admission legal experience, ideally 7+ years • Strong commercial contract drafting, negotiation and advisory experience • Experience supporting senior stakeholders and providing practical legal advice in a commercial environment • In-house legal team or commercial-organisation secondee experience highly regarded • Strong commercial judgment balancing business objectives with legal and regulatory risk • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to manage competing matters and stakeholder priorities in a fast-paced environment • Ability to build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders • Adaptability and collaborative working style • Initiative, energy and desire to partner with the business
