📋 Description

• Shape how engineers interact with complex simulation and analysis tools through Synera’s automation platform • Define integrations of engineering tools into the platform as part of a product trio with a Product Manager and Tech Lead • Translate tool-specific details into abstracted, interchangeable nodes • Evolve the 3D viewer for expanding engineering domains • Design AI-powered experiences and workflow-building interfaces • Conduct discovery and map complex technical user journeys • Take designs from concepts through high-fidelity prototypes and shipped products • Engage with engineers, particularly from aerospace and automotive industries, to gather insights and test assumptions • Organize and facilitate design sessions • Define user journeys and collaborate on information architecture and prototypes with developers and other UI/UX designers • Design node interfaces for integrated engineering tools and scalable patterns for tool interchangeability • Shape product vision, gather requirements, and translate technical specifications into user-friendly abstractions • Balance design quality and speed while meeting sprint goals and shipping iteratively • Participate in design critiques and strengthen Synera’s design system and design culture • Own design for engineering integration projects within the first six months • Own the mechanical engineering capabilities of the platform by 12 months, including complex workflow abstraction and expansion into fluid dynamics or electrical engineering

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on UI/UX design experience designing products in the mechanical engineering space • Good understanding of engineering processes, specifically simulations like FEA or CFD • Experience with 3D interfaces or visualization tools • Proven end-to-end design ownership, from discovery research through shipped product • Strong visual design skills, including layout, typography, and color • Polished UI work demonstrable in a portfolio • Figma proficiency beyond the basics • Experience working in product trios or closely embedded with PMs and engineers in agile/iterative environments • Ability to manage ambiguity in early-stage products, pivots, or fast-moving teams • Super English skills for working in an international environment • Familiarity with complex design systems or component libraries is a bonus • Background in visual programming tools, no-code/low-code platforms, or workflow automation is a bonus • Understanding of AI/ML product patterns, including agentic systems and prompt interfaces, is a bonus • Based in Bremen or open to relocating is a bonus • Must be based in Germany for remote work • English CV and portfolio required for application
