• Ensure optimal performance and stability of elCinema.com, Cinematic, and Chroma—especially during major traffic surges. • Lead the planning and execution of scalability strategies for peak-load handling. • Oversee the implementation of critical projects, including Elastic Search and Cloudflare integration. • Collaborate weekly with the System Admin team to resolve system exceptions and maintain infrastructure health. • Champion technical excellence by promoting clean code, performance optimization, and effective use of Ruby and cloud-based solutions. • Conduct weekly backlog refinement meetings with the Product Owner to align development priorities with business objectives. • Lead weekly syncs with developers to monitor progress, address blockers, and provide hands-on guidance. • Mentor and coach junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and quality. • Collaborate monthly with the CTO to align ongoing technical initiatives with the company’s broader strategic vision.
• Minimum 5 years of web development experience in a high-performance, scalable environment. • At least 2 years in a leadership role, managing and mentoring developers. • Proficiency in Ruby is highly preferred. • Alternatively, strong knowledge of PHP or Python. • Solid experience with Docker and containerization best practices. • Strong background working with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP). • Competent in building and consuming REST APIs. • Comfortable with Linux environments and writing BASH scripts. • Experience level: Managerial.
