• Support Tandem Diabetes Care’s international business expansion across Europe and beyond • Serve as a strategic legal partner for international commercial and operational matters • Independently manage complex legal issues while balancing business objectives, patient needs, and regulatory requirements • Draft, review, negotiate, and interpret distribution, procurement, supplier, sales, marketing, and commercial partnership agreements • Partner with sales, marketing, distribution, and senior business leaders to provide practical, risk-based legal advice • Support direct and distributor markets across Europe, the Middle East, and additional international territories • Advise on commercial, regulatory, product, contractual, privacy, compliance, and operational matters • Support public procurement and tender opportunities, including NHS and European healthcare purchasing processes • Collaborate with US-based legal specialists across regulatory, product law, compliance, privacy, cybersecurity, intellectual property, employment law, and other areas • Support HR on complex employment and labor-law matters and manage external counsel when required • Monitor developments in medical device regulation, healthcare reimbursement, digital health, artificial intelligence, data privacy, and related legal frameworks • Contribute to legal process improvements, training, knowledge sharing, and horizon-scanning initiatives • Operate independently, prioritize a diverse workload, identify material risks, and develop workable business solutions • Report to the Vice President, International Legal
• A law degree and qualification as a lawyer, solicitor, barrister, or equivalent legal professional in England and Wales, Switzerland, Germany, or another major European jurisdiction • 12+ years of post-qualification legal experience, including at least 5 years in an in-house commercial legal role • Significant experience in medical devices, diagnostics, healthcare technology, life sciences, or a closely related regulated industry • Pharmaceutical candidates should also have relevant MedTech or diagnostics exposure • Strong commercial contract drafting, negotiation, interpretation, and risk management expertise • Experience advising sales, marketing, distribution, procurement, and senior business stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions and cultures • Knowledge of medical device regulation, healthcare reimbursement systems, public procurement and tender processes, data privacy, and emerging digital health regulation • A pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach, sound judgment, high integrity, and confidence operating independently with senior stakeholders • Fluent English and German language • French language skills are beneficial but not essential • Some experience with employment law, contentious matters, intellectual property, or healthcare marketing and promotion would be advantageous
