• Provide overall leadership of the Africa Regional Hub • Decide regional priorities, resource allocation, and program direction • Ensure coherence and integration across Hub workstreams • Report Hub performance, risks, and priorities to organizational leadership and the board • Define and drive multi-year regional strategy aligned with organizational goals • Translate global strategy into regional priorities and feed regional learning into global strategy • Define annual workplan priorities and ensure on-time delivery • Build and lead a cohesive, motivated, high-performing regional team • Directly manage regional hub staff and contractors, including coaching, feedback, and professional development • Establish roles, workflows, meeting cadences, communication norms, and timekeeping practices • Build relationships with Ministries of Education, donors, sector networks, and private-sector partners • Represent Team4Tech at regional and global convenings, conferences, and policy forums • Support negotiations, MoUs, and partnership agreements • Oversee NGO cohort trainings, Strategic NGO and Learning Partner engagement, and program delivery milestones • Set and implement quality standards for program design, facilitation, and materials • Use evidence, data, and M&E findings to inform program decisions, funder reporting, and thought leadership • Lead special funded initiatives, including multi-country AI capacity development and cascade training projects • Manage initiative-specific staff, consultants, and country leads against timelines, budgets, and reporting requirements • Identify regional research and evidence-building priorities • Capture and share regional lessons learned across the organization • Author or contribute to publications, reports, and conference presentations • Cultivate Team4Tech’s reputation as a resource on African edtech and workforce development • Elevate NGO partners’ and staff voices in sector conversations
• Advanced degree (Master's or equivalent) in international education, international development, education technology, public policy, business administration, or a related field • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in international development, education, or workforce development programming in sub-Saharan Africa • Direct experience leading AI for education initiatives in low-resource settings in Africa, AI training content development, or strategic AI advisory projects • Understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs) and adaptive learning platforms • Strong regional networks in international development and education sectors • Experience managing multi-country or multi-partner programs, ideally involving consortium structures • Experience designing and overseeing large-scale cascade or trainer-of-trainer program models with Ministries of Education • Experience representing an organization externally at a senior level • Experience using M&E evidence and data to inform strategy and course corrections • Ability to translate program data and evidence into strategic insights, funder-facing narratives, and sector-level thought leadership • Strong program and people management skills across multiple countries and time zones • Familiarity with education, technology skills, Artificial Intelligence, and/or workforce development sectors in Africa • In-depth understanding of policy and infrastructure context across Africa • Significant budget and grant management experience, including donor reporting and financial compliance • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Existing network of relationships with Ministries of Education, NGOs, donors, and/or private-sector partners in Africa • Demonstrated ability to build trust and influence across diverse stakeholder groups • Fluent spoken and written English required • Willingness and ability to travel periodically, mostly locally and regionally within Africa, approximately 30–35% of the year
