• Determine client needs and prepare cost estimates for municipal infrastructure projects; • Produce and interpret plans and specifications; • Estimate project quantities and costs; • Design water distribution, sanitary sewer, and roadway networks; • Design stormwater retention systems; • Liaise with clients and present plans and specifications to them; • Prepare and submit authorization requests for approval to the Quebec Ministry of the Environment and the Fight Against Climate Change (MELCC); • Prepare and submit intervention permits to the Quebec Ministry of Transport (MTQ); • Research and gather relevant information related to current projects; • Prepare service proposals on occasion; • Monitor construction activities and ensure compliance with specifications; • Attend meetings with clients; • Monitor project budgets.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; • Licensed member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ); • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; • Specialization in water/sewer networks and roadways (an asset); • Experience in consulting engineering for municipalities (an asset); • Knowledge of best practices in stormwater management; • Familiarity with the following software: SWMM and water distribution modeling/balancing software (an asset).
