📋 Description

• Build and maintain backend services and APIs using Ruby on Rails • Build and maintain frontend applications using React, JavaScript, and/or TypeScript • Design and develop REST APIs and integrations • Work with databases and write SQL for development and troubleshooting • Work with Kafka or other messaging/event-driven systems • Participate in technical design discussions and application architecture decisions • Write unit and integration tests and maintain automated test coverage • Review code and provide feedback to engineers • Investigate and resolve production issues • Participate in deployments, monitoring, and production support • Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate requirements into software • Document technical decisions, APIs, and system behavior • Improve development practices, tooling, and engineering processes • Participate in an on-call rotation as needed

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience • Strong hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails • Experience building production applications with React • Good understanding of Ruby, JavaScript, and/or TypeScript • Experience building and consuming REST APIs • Experience with SQL and relational databases • Experience writing automated tests • Experience with Git and modern software development practices • Experience troubleshooting and supporting production applications • Ability to take ownership of work from design through implementation and production • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with engineers and cross-functional teams • Preferred: healthcare or healthcare technology experience • Preferred: FHIR, HL7v2, CCDA/C-CDA, Mirth Connect, EHR/EMR systems, Kafka, cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, HIPAA, and AI-assisted development tools experience
