📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software across the full stack • Build and maintain backend services and APIs using Ruby on Rails • Develop and maintain frontend applications using React, JavaScript, and/or TypeScript • Build and consume REST APIs and integrate with internal and external services • Work with relational databases and SQL for application development and troubleshooting • Work with Kafka or other messaging technologies in application and integration workflows • Write unit and integration tests and maintain automated test coverage • Participate in code reviews and apply engineering standards and best practices • Troubleshoot application and production issues and identify root causes • Participate in deployments, monitoring, and production support • Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA, and engineers to deliver working software • Participate in technical design discussions and implementation decisions • Create and maintain technical documentation for applications, APIs, and system behavior • Improve engineering processes, development tooling, and team practices • Participate in an on-call rotation as needed

🎯 Requirements

• 2–5 years of professional software engineering experience or equivalent practical experience • Hands-on experience developing applications with Ruby on Rails • Experience developing frontend applications using React • Working knowledge of Ruby, JavaScript, and/or TypeScript • Experience building or consuming REST APIs • Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases • Experience writing automated tests • Familiarity with Git and modern software development practices • Ability to troubleshoot application issues and participate in production support • Ability to work independently on well-defined technical problems while knowing when to seek guidance • Strong communication and collaboration skills • Willingness and ability to learn new technologies and systems • Healthcare experience is preferred but not required • Familiarity with FHIR, HL7v2, or CCDA/C-CDA is preferred • Experience with Mirth Connect or another healthcare integration engine is preferred • Experience integrating with EHR/EMR systems is preferred • Experience with Kafka or other messaging/event-driven technologies is preferred • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is preferred • Familiarity with healthcare data privacy and security requirements, including HIPAA, is preferred • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar technologies is preferred • Applicants must provide truthful information; falsification results in disqualification
