📋 Description

• Provide technical support for pre- and post-sales activities of Telesat’s product lines • Provide technical consultation to Global Sales groups • Develop solutions for customer communication needs using Telesat’s Lightspeed constellation • Gather customer requirements • Design cost-effective Lightspeed satellite and terrestrial communication link solutions • Specify space and ground segment components • Present solutions and proposals to customers • Perform technology recommendations, modeling, simulations, testing, and evaluation demonstrations • Design, estimate cost, and propose Lightspeed communications solutions • Validate requirements and technical details with sales teams and customer engineering contacts • Lead and participate in customer meetings • Identify new solutions and revenue opportunities within the Lightspeed product portfolio • Plan customer upgrades, review network performance, and resolve service issues • Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams to identify network capacity • Support projects from design through implementation • Maintain databases and engineering information management systems • Participate in trade shows, customer events, and technical demonstrations

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor degree or comparable experience in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Technology, Telecommunications, or Electrical Engineering required • 10+ years of relevant experience in systems engineering or connectivity solutions • Experience with satellite communications, RF link analysis, and RF hardware preferred • Fluent English required • A second language highly desirable (written and/or spoken) • Ability and willingness to travel to attend customer meetings and events across the region • Industry certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CCNP, Juniper JNCIA/ENT preferable • Experience and understanding of computer hardware, software, and operating systems • Working knowledge of MEF 3.0 standards and implementations • Working knowledge of OSI Layer 1, OSI Layer 2 & 3, protocol acceleration, web caching, traffic management, firewalls, VPN, security hardware/software, 3G/4G/5G cellular networking, and network management platforms • Applicants must be currently located in and legally authorized to work in Australia
