📋 Description

• Perform complete audits and validation testing on cell phones. • Write detailed findings to document identified issues and recommend potential solutions and best practices for remediation of accessibility violations. • Apply software fixes and/or additional accessibility features within the target software source code. • Develop and deliver informative and useful high quality outreach/educational presentations. • Prepare and conduct training on accessibility related topics.

🎯 Requirements

• B.A. or B.S. in computer science, information technology, human computer interaction, or related field preferred. • Knowledge of, as well as ability to test against, Section 508 and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 requirements for IT software and hardware. • Cell phone hardware testing experience. • Experience with IT Accessibility Requirement (from WCAG 2.1 AA): Section 1194.23 Telecommunications Products. Specifically, “1194.23 (i) Interference to hearing technologies (including hearing aids, cochlear implants, and assistive listening devices) shall be reduced to the lowest possible level that allows a user of hearing technologies to utilize the telecommunications product”. • ANSI standard C63.19, "American National Standard for Methods of Measurement of Compatibility between Wireless Communications Devices and Hearing Aids”. • Use of appropriate test equipment to measure and determine Hearing Aid Compatible (HAC) Ratings (such as, M3, T4). • Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail for heavy documentation; verbal communication skills for training and development. • Experience working effectively with several clients or project teams simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. • Possession of relevant certifications such as: DHS Trusted Tester IAAP Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies "CPACC" IAAP Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) Credential
