📋 Description

• Develop a multi-sensor perception and sensor-fusion system for a drone early-warning system featuring a learning map architecture • Own the architecture across the devices’ entire technology stack • Build alignment among the hardware, platform, and AI teams on architectural decisions • Integrate software across a wide range of hardware devices using Yocto, Bash, Zephyr, and C/C++ • Collaborate with Sensor Fusion, MLOps, and DevOps Engineers to enable fast and secure deployments • Monitor systems, troubleshoot incidents, and continuously improve observability • Optionally support on-site operations, collect sensor data, and validate the technology in controlled field trials

🎯 Requirements

• Citizenship of an EU member state required • Officially resident in an EU country • At least 7 years of professional experience in IT; ideally 15–20 years • At least 5 years of full-time professional experience as an Embedded Engineer; ideally 10–15 years • Expert-level knowledge of Embedded Linux and Yocto • At least 3 years of full-time professional experience with a production-grade Real-Time Operating System, particularly Zephyr • At least 2 years of professional experience in IoT • Fluent in C/C++ • At least 2 consecutive years working for the same employer • Fluent English • Willingness and interest in working in the defense sector • Willingness to work exclusively in an operational, hands-on capacity—not in management—for 3–5 years • Experience with fleet data, Bash, Golang, MLOps, EdgeML, and DevOps is a plus • Initial cloud experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure is a plus • Willingness to travel to Berlin for field trials 2–3 days per month is a plus • Knowledge of Embedded Linux, Yocto Project, ROS2, Sensor Fusion, PCB Design, Robotics, Hardware-Software Co-Design, OTA Updates, TCP/IP, SDR, Computer Vision, CAD, Embedded Systems, Microcontrollers, RTOS, Firmware Development, SPI, I2C, CAN bus, Edge AI, Git, Linux Kernel, HIL, SIL, GNU Toolchain, Zephyr, and FreeRTOS • Current CV/resume and links to LinkedIn and GitHub profiles required
