• Support product development teams to optimize application architecture for scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency • Implementation of our cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, primarily with Terraform • Lead best practices for our infrastructure resources across multiple cloud providers (GCP, Azure) • Implement and improve system observability, including logging, monitoring, and alerting, to ensure system health and enable rapid debugging • Lead debugging and problem-solving that help the whole team become more effective • Enforce best practices for security, reliability, and performance within our infrastructure • Be on-call for our infrastructure during incident response • Responsible for servicing product engineering team requests for support via triaging guidance • Leverage and evangelize LLM usage in team, dev tools, and dev workflows • Drive improvements in development flow through optimizing deployment processes, establishing development feedback loops, and improving system observability • Guide technical decision-making by breaking down complex problems, facilitating tradeoff discussions, and helping teams understand cost of delay
• Ability to establish and evolve technical defaults • Experience optimizing development workflows through collaboration with internal customers such as product development teams • Senior-level experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as Terraform • Strong hands-on experience with cloud providers (GCP and/or Azure) • Able to self-service work breakdown from large goals in collaboration with the team • Deep understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Swarm • Experience with or willingness to learn to develop infrastructure tools & services in Go • Knowledge of configuration management using Ansible • You thrive in working in a fast pace start-up environment • Change doesn’t scare you • Candidates must have a reliable internet connection and a designated work environment conducive to professional phone calls and sensitive data • Selected candidates may be required to undergo a background check and/or drug screen
