• Serve as lead programmer, project lead, or project oversight lead on studies and drug programs of varying complexity • Oversee statistical and bioinformatics programming from clinical-trial design through analysis and reporting • Organize teams and implement study strategies to improve process and programming efficiency • Create and maintain programs for statistical report generation and program validation • Work with project team leaders and client representatives on meetings, timelines, resource forecasting, budgets, and contractual obligations • Plan and contribute to tools and techniques that improve process efficiency, including leading solution teams • Represent the department to clients during study matters, bid defenses, and clinical-data submissions or reviews with regulatory authorities • Serve as company project manager on biometrics-only projects when applicable • Provide department infrastructure support, training materials, policies, and process-improvement initiatives • Develop professional and programming knowledge for self and junior team members • Provide managers with employee-performance feedback for development, reviews, and training • Encourage industry publications and conference presentations to increase company visibility • Contribute to recruitment and candidate interviews • Occasionally drive to site locations and travel domestically and internationally
• MS/MA degree in computer science, statistics, biostatistics, mathematics or related field and at least 6 years of experience, OR Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, biostatistics, mathematics or related field or equivalent and at least 8 years of experience • An equivalency consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience may be considered sufficient • Strong SAS programming skills • Great understanding of database structures and complex data structures • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in the English language • Ability to organize, adapt, and adjust to changing priorities across multiple assignments • Ability to work and lead in a multidisciplinary team setting • Understanding of clinical trials, ICH statistical and reporting guidelines, and GCP • Knowledge of statistical principles applied to clinical-trial design and analysis • Understanding of clinical-data submission requirements for regulatory authorities • Excellent project-management skills, including project budget creation, updates, and management of budgets and risks • Ability to interpret and contribute to company policies • Delivery- and quality-driven
