📋 Description

• Develop and execute regional engineering strategy aligned with Clinical Trials Division business objectives • Lead site master planning, multi-year capital investment strategies, and engineering roadmaps • Establish engineering standards, project governance, best practices, and alignment with global initiatives and regulatory requirements • Prioritize strategic investments and build engineering organizational capability and culture • Provide strategic engineering leadership across regional sites covering facilities, utilities, equipment, automation, and infrastructure • Drive technical standardization, innovation, reliability, scalability, and operational performance • Lead technical risk management, asset lifecycle planning, infrastructure modernization, sustainability, and engineering support for growth and client opportunities • Coach engineering leaders and develop regional engineering talent • Own and prioritize the regional capital investment portfolio • Lead capital governance, project management standards, portfolio reviews, business cases, and resource allocation • Ensure project delivery to scope, schedule, budget, quality, and operational readiness while managing risks • Monitor portfolio performance through metrics, financial oversight, and executive reporting • Establish regional engineering governance and compliance with corporate standards • Lead maintenance, reliability, asset utilization, predictive maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives • Implement engineering standards for capital execution, equipment lifecycle management, and facility operations • Measure and improve engineering performance through KPIs, benchmarking, and data-driven initiatives • Partner with business leaders, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Global Engineering, and site leadership • Oversee CTD locations within the EMEA region, with up to 50% travel to global network locations

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline required • 10+ years of related experience in the Pharmaceutical or related industry, including engineering, operations, program and project management • 5+ years of functional leadership experience within two or more areas including Process Engineering, Facilities/Engineering, Maintenance, Automation, I&C, Validation or related functions • Expertise in design, qualification, and operation of facilities, utilities, equipment, and automation used in the Manufacturing and Packaging of Clinical Trials • Experience building and leading high-performing teams • Understanding of applicable regulatory requirements and industry guidance, especially FDA, EMA, ICH, and ISPE • Familiarity with current issues and trends related to clinical trials and FDA regulations • Strategic leadership, long-term engineering strategy development, investment prioritization, and business alignment • Exceptional communication, executive influence, and cross-functional collaboration skills • Strong business and financial acumen, including capital planning, portfolio management, risk assessment, and data-driven decision-making • Proven people leadership, talent development, change leadership, accountability, engagement, innovation, and continuous improvement • Professional Engineering (PE), Chartered Engineer (CEng), or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desirable, not required • Master's degree preferred, not required
