📋 Description

• Create high-quality character animation for in-game vignettes, cinematics and scripted story sequences • Work with hand-keyed animation techniques and motion capture data • Integrate, test and refine animations directly within Unreal Engine • Work with Sequencer, animation montages, animation layers and Unreal cinematic plug-ins • Collaborate with designers, riggers, programmers and fellow animators to balance visual quality with technical and gameplay requirements • Create character performances that strengthen the emotion and impact of narrative sequences • Assist with motion capture shoots, data processing and animation cleanup • Troubleshoot animation and implementation issues with support from senior team members • Respond constructively to feedback and iterate on work to achieve the desired creative result • Learn and adapt to proprietary tools, pipelines and workflows

🎯 Requirements

• 1+ years of professional production experience, or equivalent experience gained through an internship, junior position or relevant game-development projects • Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Maya, including animation layers and the Graph Editor • Solid understanding of realistic body mechanics, weight, timing and movement • Understanding of character body and facial performance • Familiarity with the principles and visual language of cinematography • Strong eye for detail and commitment to producing high-quality work • Good communication and collaboration skills • Willingness to receive feedback, learn from senior team members and continue developing your craft • Ability to work independently within a collaborative, remote-first environment • Experience with Unreal Engine or Unity is a bonus • Familiarity with MotionBuilder is a bonus • Experience cleaning up and refining motion capture data is a bonus • Experience implementing animation within a game engine is a bonus
