📋 Description

• management of junior staff • design of statistical and financial analysis • modeling of financial data and markets • quality control • development and presentation of client deliverables • management of existing client relationships • industry research • expansion of business • Understand engagement and client needs through discussions directly with the client or taking directions from senior management or expert of BRG • Obtain understanding of the business drivers that underpin the relevant financial analysis • Examine and interpret case related information to produce in-depth and detail-orientated analysis, identifying further research that needs to be carried out, and which leads need to be investigated to support case development • Analyze and interrogate large amounts of financial data and present findings coherently using Excel • Assist with conducting interviews with a range of stakeholders • Support case work by using Excel and PowerPoint to provide diagrammatic and pictorial explanations to present key findings and patterns identified • Build strong working relationships with colleagues across BRG's offices and various business practices

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or relevant field required • Master’s degree or equivalent experience highly preferred • Certified Public Accounting (CPA) certification required • Minimum of six (6+) years of experience working for an accounting or advisory firm in an audit or forensic accounting capacity • Big 4 or other large accounting and/or advisory firm experience required • Experience with research software such as LexisNexis, Factiva, JSTOR, Bloomberg, and Capital IQ are desirable • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements (e.g., GAAP, and the relationship between debits and credits and statement of cash flow, income statement, balance sheet, and trial balance) • Advanced user of Excel in addition to other Microsoft Office products • Capability with relational database program(s) are desirable (e.g., MS SQL Server, MS Access, MySQL, Oracle), statistical analysis programs (e.g., SAS, SPSS, Stata, R, and Python)
