📋 Description

• Design, develop, and optimize back-end systems within the Ticketure product • Own and solve large problems and projects from requirements gathering through production delivery • Take responsibility for technical tasks that include the work of others as a senior team member • Ensure work meets technical norms and quality standards • Collaborate with client-facing team members to meet client expectations and triage and resolve issues • Support contractual SLAs, including short-notice availability for issues or outages that prevent clients from selling tickets • Make codebase tradeoffs balancing business continuity with roadmap delivery • Mentor and support engineers on best practices, code quality, and technical problem-solving • Work closely with Engineering, Product, and Design • Report directly to the Team Lead, Engineering (Ticketure)

🎯 Requirements

• Four or more years of back-end development experience designing and building scalable, high-performance, high-quality systems • Hands-on production experience building systems in Go • Production experience with MySQL and ElasticSearch • Experience deploying and maintaining systems in a cloud environment; AWS preferred • Basic understanding of JavaScript and Vue.js • Ability to break down complex technical problems and identify root causes • Ability to translate complex technical concepts for technical and non-technical audiences • Ability to work independently while collaborating across cross-functional teams • Track record of managing multiple concurrent projects without sacrificing quality • Interest in mentoring engineers and raising the wider team’s technical skill set • Google Suite proficiency • Slack proficiency • Right to work in New Zealand
