📋 Description

• Lead a cross-functional engineering team comprising Backend, Mobile, and Web engineers • Partner closely with Product Management • Own and lead global In-Person Acquiring products • Set technical direction and drive end-to-end execution of in-house ePOS solutions, Tap to Pay technologies, cross-platform mobile apps, and complex pricing engines • Oversee maintenance of highly reliable live products • Lead architectural strategy for third-party vendor integrations and hardware partnerships • Drive major platform transformation initiatives • Lead engineering scaling of localized payment networks such as QR/UPI across international markets • Lead rollout toolkits for European expansion • Guide architecture decisions and deliver reliable platform solutions • Champion engineering best practices from development and testing through production deployment and monitoring

🎯 Requirements

• Proven track record directly managing, coaching, and developing cross-functional Backend, Mobile, and Web engineering teams • Expert in at least one core engineering domain or platform, such as backend or mobile • Ability to translate software engineering principles across platforms in a T-shaped leadership model • Extensive experience building robust applications, server-side engineering, mobile app deployment architecture, and scalable system design • Experience in FinTech, Acquiring, In-Person Payments, ePOS systems, or payment gateway integrations highly desirable • Experience engineering scalable, reliable solutions in a cloud-native environment • Experience managing microservices, RESTful APIs, and event-driven systems • Experience integrating complex third-party vendors, hardware providers, and external payment networks • Full ownership of technical solutions across development, testing, production deployment, and monitoring • Ability to guide architecture decisions and translate product strategy into reliable platform solutions • Strong communication of technical concepts to stakeholders • Familiarity with Java, Spring Boot, JOOQ, SNS, SQS, Kafka, PostgreSQL, RDS, Aurora, AWS, Docker, Terraform, ArgoCD, EKS, DataDog, GitHub, Semgrep, CI/CD, Angular, Flutter, Swift, Kotlin, Fivetran, BigQuery, Looker, Python, FastAPI, Faust, and ML libraries
