📋 Description

• As a Database Engineer – Cloud (m/f/d), you are part of the Platform Cloud team and the database administrators who develop innovative solutions for the stable and highly available operation of our database systems in cloud and Kubernetes environments. • You are responsible for the maintenance and further development of our Postgres databases as well as Cloud Native Postgres (CNPG) deployments in Azure and Kubernetes. • In close cooperation with developers, the platform and datacenter teams, you ensure the smooth operation of the databases and support development teams with cloud migration. • You design concepts for database architecture, backup and recovery strategies, and high-availability solutions. • You automate the provisioning and management of database clusters using tools such as Helm and Terraform/Terragrunt. • You monitor database performance, implement monitoring solutions and ensure compliance with SLAs. • In the event of incidents, you perform root-cause analyses and resolve issues in operations, migrations or application integration. • Additionally, you support the adoption of new technologies and continuously optimize our processes to increase stability, security and efficiency.

🎯 Requirements

• You bring several years of professional experience in operating and administering relational database systems in cloud and container environments. • You have solid knowledge in managing Postgres databases with Cloud Native Postgres (CNPG), particularly in Azure and Kubernetes. • You also have experience automating infrastructure and database deployments using tools such as Terraform and Helm. • You possess very good knowledge of Kubernetes, Kubernetes operators and monitoring solutions such as Grafana Suite and Prometheus. • Your strong communication skills enable you to collaborate effectively with different teams. • Good German (B2 or higher) and English (B2 or higher) language skills help you communicate within the team.
