📋 Description

• Project work: Independently carry out accounting and back-office projects for startups and SMEs • Accounting & Financial Statements: Manage clients' ongoing bookkeeping and assist with monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB (German Commercial Code) • Processes: Set up or optimize processes, automations, and finance tools (spend management, incoming and outgoing invoice processing, pre-booking systems, etc.) • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with tax advisors, finance departments, authorities and other relevant interfaces • Project-based client engagement: Primarily remote, with on-site work when required

🎯 Requirements

• You have relevant professional experience in accounting (e.g., as a financial accountant) — preferably in the Mittelstand (mid-sized companies), a startup, or a consulting firm • You can work with at least one common accounting or ERP system (e.g., DATEV Rechnungswesen, Lexware, SAP, or Business Central / Navision) • You are proficient in Excel / Google Sheets and have a strong affinity for numbers • You have very good German communication skills (approx. C1) and good English skills (min. B1) • Ideally, you have experience in one or more of the following areas: • Process optimization • Implementation of finance and accounting tools • Working with pre-booking systems such as DATEV Unternehmen Online, Spendesk, MOSS or Finway • You enjoy varied project work and want to support clients remotely or project-based and, to a limited extent, on-site
