📋 Description

• Set the technical direction and roadmap for Platform • Make the case for the Platform roadmap to dependent engineering teams and executives • Own the reliability, performance and cost of Traild’s GCP footprint • Manage networking, compute, storage and infrastructure-as-code • Improve developer experience through CI/CD pipelines, build and deploy tooling, and observability • Stay hands-on as a working member of the team • Hold the technical bar through design reviews, code reviews and engineering standards • Grow and support around five engineers, including hiring as the team expands • Own operational health and incident response for the product foundations

🎯 Requirements

• Deep hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure • Strong technical judgement to independently shape strategy and direction • Track record of growing engineers • Hands-on experience with GCP infrastructure, networking, compute, storage, CI/CD, observability, infrastructure-as-code, developer experience and FinOps • Ability to lead and grow a platform engineering team • Ability to participate in design reviews and code reviews • Ability to own operational health and incident response • Ability to hire as the team expands
