📋 Description

• Set the technical direction and roadmap for Platform • Make the case for the Platform roadmap to dependent engineering teams and the executive team • Own the reliability, performance and cost of Traild’s GCP footprint • Own networking, compute, storage and infrastructure-as-code • Improve developer experience through CI/CD pipelines, build and deploy tooling, observability, and reducing engineering friction • Stay hands-on as a working member of the team • Hold the technical bar through design reviews, code reviews and standards by example • Grow and support around five engineers, including hiring as the team expands • Own operational health and incident response for the foundations supporting the product

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on technical leadership experience in platform engineering • Deep hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure • Strong technical judgement to independently shape strategy and direction • Track record of growing engineers • Experience with GCP infrastructure • Experience with networking, compute and storage • Experience with CI/CD • Experience with observability • Experience with infrastructure-as-code • Experience with developer experience and FinOps • Ability to lead and manage a growing team of platform engineers • Ability to participate in design reviews and code reviews • Experience with operational health and incident response
