• Complete 1 short story of approximately 6,500 words • Submit a brief plot for approval • Upon approval of the initial excerpt, complete the story within the specified timeframe • Revisions may be required based on feedback received • The short story must be in one of the specified genres: Kids, Thriller/Mystery, Sci-fi/Fantasy, Self-help, Romance, Memoir/Autobiography/Biography
🎯 Requirements
• Residence in Japan • Idiomatic fluency in Japanese (Japan) • Excellent writing skills in Japanese (Japan) (grammar, spelling) • Working proficiency in English required, as all communication and task guidelines will be in English • Graduate or undergraduate degree in literature, journalism, or creative writing and/or proven experience in journalism, writing, or content creation • Ability to start and complete tasks within the given deadline • Strong attention to detail • Submission of a portfolio with 3 writing samples (400–700 words each), including at least one in the preferred genre; samples may include published articles, blog posts, reports, or other relevant works that demonstrate writing ability and experience.
