📋 Description

• Build an automation framework from scratch, beginning with API-level coverage of critical end-to-end happy path flows • Mentor QA team members in technical and structured testing practices • Collaborate with developers to establish shared ownership of quality, improve unit testing, and define effective coverage • Conduct exploratory testing to identify unanticipated edge cases and failure modes • Own feature aftercare by monitoring production releases, tracking stability, and driving continuous improvement • Identify gaps missed by developers and PMs and contribute to product decisions throughout the development cycle • Track QA metrics including bug detection rate, release confidence, and post-release defect counts • Work alongside a junior QA specialist and mid-level QA analyst, reporting to the QA Team Lead

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of QA experience with hands-on automation work and structured manual and exploratory testing • Experience building automation frameworks • Fluency in at least one programming language • Ability to make and defend tooling decisions • Ability to influence developers, designers, and product stakeholders on quality practices • Ability to articulate risks clearly to engineers, PMs, and non-technical stakeholders • Experience with observability and monitoring tools, particularly Datadog is advantageous • Experience across web, mobile, and API surfaces is advantageous • SQL experience for data validation, debugging, and exploratory testing is a plus
