📋 Description

• Deliver TwelveLabs’ video-language models (Pegasus and Marengo) and the indexing and agentic platform into highly protected GovCloud or fully air-gapped deployments. • Design and implement scalable RESTful APIs (OpenAPI-compliant) powering features such as indexing, search and video analysis, integrating with model inference pipelines. • Architect and optimize high-throughput, service-oriented backend systems for enterprise-grade SaaS to ensure low latency, high availability, and scalability. • Design and develop responsive, high-performance frontend applications using modern frameworks (React, Next.js), ensuring seamless integration with backend services. • Build for constrained networks & hardware, rigorous supply-chain practices, and high-reliability operations. • Partner with Machine Learning engineers, Infrastructure Engineers and Forward Deployed Engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions, ensuring smooth integration between backend systems, AI pipelines, and user interfaces. • Drive adherence to coding standards, best practices, and optimization techniques across the stack, delivering high-quality, reliable, and maintainable systems. • Ensure designs meet security and compliance requirements (FedRAMP and DoD SRG Impact Levels).

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of professional full stack software engineering experience building applications and tools for government customers, with features such as auditable workflows, secure authentication, and role-based access controls. • Backend: Deep knowledge of service-oriented architecture (SOA), RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems. Strong understanding of scalable database design (relational and NoSQL). • Frontend: Experience with modern frontend frameworks, including React, Next.js, React Query, and TypeScript. Experience building responsive UIs using CSS frameworks (Tailwind) and component libraries (Material UI). • Infra: Familiar with Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure scaling. Exposure to IaC tools (ex. Terraform), and observability tools (ex. Prometheus, Grafana). • Government & Security-Specific Expertise: Experience deploying with GovCloud or air-gapped environments. Familiarity with RBAC, LDAP, and government SSO standards. • Eligibility for U.S. Security Clearance (note: requires US Citizenship). • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and first-principles thinking. • Exceptional communication skills, able to clearly articulate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Thrives in agile, fast-paced environments; adaptable, resilient, strong ownership mindset. • Preferred: Active Government Security Clearance. • Preferred: Hands-on experience with video technologies (FFmpeg, AWS Media Services) and integrating backend systems with AI/ML pipelines for video analysis (e.g., object detection, motion tracking, summarization).
