📋 Description

• Build and scale systems processing several hundred thousand data points per second • Lead development of high-scale ingestion and data processing systems • Guide design, operation, and maintenance of complex distributed systems • Ensure reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency while querying petabytes of data for Twilio Segment’s customer data platform • Own and deliver robust, high-scale routing experiences for Data platforms and pipelines • Champion team growth, mentorship, and individual development • Architect and operate always-available distributed systems in cloud environments • Guide technical decisions and articulate cost, performance, and reliability trade-offs • Advocate for agile processes, continuous integration, and robust automation • Translate technical strategies into actionable plans for Product Managers, Architects, and other stakeholders

🎯 Requirements

• 14+ years of engineering experience • 5+ year proven track record managing software teams • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field • Proven experience managing multiple workstreams within the team • Commitment to an AI-centric engineering mindset and mentorship on AI-enabled development platforms • Technical depth in distributed systems, high-scale ingestion, and cloud-native architecture • Hands-on experience with high-scale messaging/streaming systems and processing engines handling several thousand events per second • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and operational excellence skills • Role based in India, limited to Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Maharashtra, or Delhi
