📋 Description

• Deliver planned quarterly work, including platform optimisation, self-serve tooling, and platform rearchitecture • Expand Tyk Cloud across regions and clouds while reducing operating costs • Automate operations in Go, including building and maintaining custom Kubernetes operators • Run platform services and databases, including MongoDB and Redis • Improve observability by identifying important metrics and building dashboards and alerts • Maintain runbooks and documentation • Support security work such as SOC 2 audits • Participate in an on-call rotation, initially one week in three and later one in four, Monday-Friday, 12 PM–12 AM UTC • Respond to platform alerts and incidents, restore service, escalate or fix product bugs, and lead post-incident reviews • Act as second-line support for Customer Success requests from customers • Handle ad hoc Tyk Cloud requests from teams across the organisation

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years in SRE, platform or infrastructure roles, across more than one company or production platform • Experience owning on-call and leading incidents independently • Hands-on experience running production Kubernetes at scale, ideally EKS, including operating, upgrading and debugging large, multi-tenant clusters • Experience designing and operating infrastructure on AWS, with Terraform or similar • Ability to write, test and ship Go tooling or services • Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and logging systems • Solid Linux and networking fundamentals, including DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, TLS, and load balancing • Clear communication across time zones and teams
