📋 Description

• Provide support as a UMGC student or alumni peer tutor to other undergraduate students enrolled in UMGC courses • Respond to undergraduate students’ questions and concerns related to their UMGC assigned courses • Respond to questions about course concepts related to assigned readings, projects, or written assignments • Provide clarifications, examples, and tutorials that support the student in developing a writing process and authentic learning • Promote a professional, respectful, and safe online learning environment • Work more closely with English language learners

🎯 Requirements

• In-depth knowledge in the undergraduate level courses to be supported under this position (WRTG111 and WRTG112) • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills in English • Ability to work closely with students to ensure student success • Ability to work with diverse student populations • A grade of "A" in the course is preferred, but a "B" will be acceptable

• Time Off: C1s that regularly work over 12 hours per week are eligible for limited sick and safe leave at the rate of 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum accrual of 40 hours in a calendar year. • Health Coverage: Access to health care, medical with vision, dental, and prescription plans for both individuals and families, effective from the 1st of the month following your hire date. • Insurance Options: Term Life Insurance, Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance. • Supplemental Retirement Plans: include 401(k), 403(b), 457(b), and various Roth options.
