📋 Description

• Build great products as a mid-level software engineer • Gain exposure to the full Unibuddy platform across web, native, and backend • Deliver engaging solutions for users and customers • Focus on Chat, Assistant, and Intelligence products • Build experiences and tools enabling prospective students to engage with universities and make informed university decisions • Enable university staff and ambassadors to have positive conversations and generate valuable data and increased yield • Work with a modern technology stack and AI systems to deliver powerful features

🎯 Requirements

• Mid-level software engineering experience • Proficiency in TypeScript; Python is advantageous • Understanding of well-architected and reusable React components, including component lifecycle, performance, and state management, or confidence building scalable backend services and managing infrastructure across AWS • Experience building applications powered by GraphQL APIs • Experience working within a microservice-driven environment • Comfortable building robust test suites • Ability to navigate parallel pipelines and agentic tooling, with understanding of systems-thinking, testing, and validation • Experience building performant, well-architected microservices using frameworks such as Express or NestJS • MongoDB or another NoSQL database solution, including common design patterns, features, and limitations • Product-minded and user-obsessed • Demonstrated ownership of product upkeep, maintenance, performance, and bug resolution • Curious and eager to learn • Team player willing to teach and be taught • AI-onboarded and using AI tooling to accelerate workflows and automate where necessary • Exposure to UI development meeting WCAG accessibility requirements is advantageous • React Native experience is a nice-to-have • Experience with event-driven systems using Kafka, Kinesis, or RabbitMQ is a nice-to-have • Serverless architecture experience is a nice-to-have • Exposure to Python and Flask/Django is a nice-to-have
