📋 Description

• Contribute to AI state-of-the-art research for an AI Coaching Tool for Complex AI-Supported Policymaking • Contribute to the technical development of a UN-customized AI Coach for Large Language Model use • Help improve request formulation, critically assess AI responses, and identify unsupported assumptions or biases • Test the prototype with domain experts and UNU stakeholders • Implement necessary technical changes through iterative development • Contribute to writing at least one publication and/or technical demo • Submit the publication and/or technical demo to a top-tier conference or journal • Lead development of a technical demo to a top-tier conference or journal • Work under the direct supervision and guidance of the Senior Researcher/Acting Head of Research

🎯 Requirements

• Completed master’s degree in AI, informatics, computer science, data science, engineering, applied mathematics, or physics • Exceptional acceptance for candidates with a completed bachelor’s degree who are currently enrolled in a master’s degree, with a proven track record of pedagogically informed prompt engineering or LLM evaluation methodology for tutoring • Technical contribution track record in human-AI interaction projects, LLM tools for tutoring, pedagogically informed prompt engineering, wise use of LLMs in complex settings, or pedagogical strategies for trustworthy use of LLMs • Strong communication skills in English • Knowledge of another UN official language is an asset • Consultants must meet medical clearance and security clearance requirements for mission travel, complete the BSAFE online course, obtain a travel visa, and sign a liability waiver when applicable • UNU does not sponsor a working visa for this position
