📋 Description
• Own and maintain a complex media tech stack across Unity-supported platforms • Design and build hardware abstraction layers and cross-platform media APIs • Refactor and modernize existing codebases; integrate and evaluate third-party frameworks • Collaborate with Unity customers and internal authoring and runtime teams to translate needs into platform capabilities
🎯 Requirements
• Expert-level C++ skills, including memory management, threading, real-time constraints, and performance profiling • Deep media domain knowledge (e.g., containers/codecs, streaming, synchronization) and familiarity with major platform media SDKs (mobile, desktop, consoles) • Experience with C# interoperability • Experience developing large-scale media pipelines in Unity or comparable real-time engines • Experience leading the adoption or integration of open-source media frameworks (GStreamer, FFmpeg) • Expertise in GPU-accelerated media processing • Advanced audio experience in spatial audio, DSP chains, low-latency I/O, resampling, and A/V synchronization across multiple platforms • Experience representing your organization with platform vendors or industry groups
