📋 Description

• Support development teams in implementing, rolling out, and testing new features/products • Plan and build new development, QA, and production infrastructure, ensuring operational requirements and best practices are met • Maintain and improve several existing systems • Participate in the development of the UKS (UpCloud Kubernetes Service) product • Handle daily operational tasks with the operations team to keep production running, focusing on software, automation, and monitoring • Plan and execute change management and regular maintenance with minimal impact to production • Keep UpCloud’s cloud systems running 24/7

🎯 Requirements

• Several years of Linux server administration experience • Good understanding of distributed computing systems • Experience with Docker/Kubernetes • Knowledge of virtualization and storage systems • Experience with high-availability databases, preferably MySQL and PostgreSQL • Scripting skills in Bash/Python • Automation and infrastructure-as-code experience with Ansible and Terraform/OpenTofu • Ability to design and implement monitoring • Experience with version control and CI/CD pipelines • Basic knowledge of server/networking hardware and data centers • Proven problem-solving and solution-finding skills • Software development experience appreciated • Security-oriented mindset appreciated • Documentation and presentation skills appreciated
