Upstream USA works to expand opportunity by reducing unplanned pregnancy across the U.S. We work in partnership with health centers to strengthen reproductive care and autonomy by increasing equitable access to the full range of contraceptive options.

Founded in 2014, Upstream is on track to achieve nationwide impact at scale. Our goal through 2024 is to partner with health centers that serve over 1 million women across four states. This ambitious plan for growth has received generous support from philanthropic individuals and foundations, including a $60 million lead investment by Blue Meridian Partners. Our unique approach has been featured in The New York Times, Washington Post, the Atlantic, CNN, Vox, and Marie Claire. 

Following our first statewide intervention in Delaware, a leading national research center estimates a 24% decrease in unplanned pregnancies among Title X patients between 2014 and 2017. Patient surveys conducted at our partner healthcare centers affirm that Upstream-trained providers are empowering patients to make their own decisions about their contraceptive care.

Regional Director of Partnerships (Sales / Business Development in Reproductive Healthcare - Remote

Product Designer

• Support the design and development of eLearning courses and a specific instructor-led training curriculum
• Review and modify curricula for nurses providing contraceptive care
• Collaborate with a small team in designing course outlines, slide decks, and facilitator notes for virtual training sessions
• Responsible for reviewing multiple versions of eLearning courses

Instructional Design Contractor - Reproductive Healthcare

Reporting to the National Director of Partnerships, the Sr. Director of Partnerships (SRDP) is responsible for cultivating strategic relationships with healthcare organizations, providers, and key leaders in the field throughout their region. They lead and guide partnership recruitment efforts via personal and team recruitment efforts to healthcare organizations. They supervise a recruitment delivery team and are responsible for coaching, mentoring and guiding the staff. The SRDP will support the National Director of Partnerships, as needed, to recommend partnerships, implement strategies, and identify required resources for excellence in recruiting efforts. The Sr. Director of Partnerships (SRDP) will join the dynamic, high-performing Partnerships & Community Engagement (PCE) team responsible for delivering healthcare organization partnerships ready to engage in programming. The position will build relationships with community leaders, healthcare executives and key staff to champion Upstream’s intervention model and liaise between health centers and internal Upstream teams to ensure the development of timely and successful partnerships. The position will provide leadership and strategic support, carefully shepherding the partnership through its formative stage as well as developing and executing creative strategies to further contraceptive access through community engagement. Work-related travel throughout the region and nationally is required.
