📋 Description

• Retrieve and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights. • Create visualizations and interactive graphics to accompany databases. • Verify the accuracy and integrity of data used in reporting. • Stay up to date with the latest data analysis tools and techniques. Use AI tools and techniques to enhance data analysis and visualization. • Present data, conclusions, and written stories in a clear and compelling manner. • Contribute to the community’s greater good through impactful journalism.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in journalism, data science or statistics or an equivalent combination of education and experience. • At least three years of newsroom experience. • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Python or R. • Expertise with AI tools and proven scrapping experience and results. • Strong understanding of data visualization techniques. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. • Strong reporting skills, with the ability to gather information from people and public records. • Strong writing skills, along with a demonstrated ability to distill complex matters. • Able to work cooperatively, meet deadlines and shift gears for multiple tasks. • Energetic, curious, focused, and can spot the stories that matter. • This role requires a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the minimum liability insurance required by state law.
