📋 Description

• Abstract data from the anesthesia record into the MD Cloud Practice Solutions platform • Work with charge capture platforms, including Medaxion, PC7, and multiple facility EMR's • Reviews anesthesia documentation for appropriate required elements, such as attestations, signatures, dates, etc. • Abstract and code surgical procedures from all sections of CPT and cross walk surgical codes to ASA • Comprehensive understanding of applicable modifiers • Abstracts anesthesia times and events • Identify and assign care team providers • Review for medical direction • Meet team KPIs including daily production and quarterly coding audit score requirements • Perform other duties as assigned • Adhere to all company policies and procedures – especially HIPAA and confidentiality.

🎯 Requirements

• 2 years’ experience with complex surgical CPT and ICD10, with one year of anesthesia coding preferred • Excellent CPT coding skills • High level of competence in ICD10 coding and coding guidelines • Experience coding for physicians, CRNA, CAA, NP, SRNA, and residents • NCCI bundling knowledge • Familiarity with LCD/NCD • Experience with CMS guidelines for coding • Ability to review and determine start and end times, care team, and medical direction • Ability to follow pre-established departmental playbooks and pathways • High school graduate or equivalent • Current CPC required, CANPC a plus. • Experience with multiple EMR's and documentation types, including handwritten and electronic records. • Basic charge capture platform experience • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe PDF • Intermediate Outlook skills • Ten key proficiencies • Ability to work independently and self-motivate on new projects.
