📋 Description

• Run the FP&A function under the CFO at a fast-scaling company. • Direct support of the monthly accounting close, providing fast exposure to the business from the books up and critical accounting capacity during onboarding. • Full-cycle accounting work in initial months: journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accounts payable, and supporting the close. • Owning and evolving the integrated financial model, running scenarios, and producing analysis behind capital allocation decisions. • Lead production of monthly board materials, lender reporting packages, the covenant dashboard, and the KPI dashboard. • Support integration analytical work for any strategic transactions: day-one readiness, synergy tracking, reporting build, and post-close variance analysis. • Own service-line gross margin analysis, revenue forecast, headcount planning, and ad-hoc analyses for executives and board.

🎯 Requirements

• Four to eight years of progressive FP&A experience, ideally including end-to-end ownership of a financial model. • Strong Excel and modeling skills. • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field. • CPA, CFA, or MBA are pluses, not requirements. • Curiosity: You love to learn. You ask 'why' and 'what else' before settling on the easy answer. • Tech and AI Fluency: You pick up new technology fast. You already use Claude, ChatGPT, or similar tools to accelerate analytical work, automate tasks, and process unstructured data. • Ownership Mindset: You take a workstream from blank page to final deliverable without daily check-ins. • Operating Style: Comfortable being the only FP&A person on the team today, with the understanding that the team will scale. • Growth Orientation: You see the role as a launchpad to Director of FP&A or Controller as URS scales.
