📋 Description

• Support management in leading and developing a team of employees through effective coaching, mentoring, and performance management. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and annual evaluations to support professional growth and ensure alignment with company goals. • Maintain income tax accounts with various government agencies. • Assist with indirect tax and international tax compliance and projects. • Improve the efficiency of tax processes and controls through technology. • Research tax concepts and apply to tax fillings. • Gather tax return information for filings. • Interact with varying government agencies to ensure tax accounts are in compliance. • Review tax account reconciliations and support financial close. • Review work and guide tax accountants. • Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing program performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing process optimizations. Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to the function. • Contribute to a collaborative work environment that promotes open communication, innovation, and employee engagement. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align departmental goals with broader organizational strategy. • Other duties as assigned because every day is different in hospitality!

🎯 Requirements

• Experience working in hotel, hospitality, vacation or similar industry is highly preferred. • College degree in Accounting / Finance is strongly preferred, though we recognize that great talent comes from many different paths. • 4+ years of relevant tax experience. • CPA and public accounting experience preferred. • Strong understanding of partnership and corporate income tax. • Ability to succeed in ambiguity. • Highly organized and thorough. • Deadline driven. • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. • Flexibility and responsiveness to change. • Ability to work in a fast paced environment. • Attention to detail. • Tech-savvy with experience using various digital systems and applications and comfortable using mobile apps, tablets, and various software platforms. • Comfortable talking to people—online or in person—and being able to share information in a way that’s clear, thoughtful, and easy to understand.
