📋 Description
• Self-publish news articles daily across movie and television verticals • Monitor trending news cycles, including casting announcements, trailers, release dates, renewals/cancellations, and celebrity updates • Ensure timely publication of relevant content aligned with SEO and engagement goals • Coordinate with editors and fellow writers to maintain consistent daily coverage • Contribute to news ideation, sourcing, and scheduling • Follow editorial and formatting guidelines rigorously • Available weekday mornings, ideally 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. EST (weekend availability is a plus) • Available during Pacific Standard Time evening hours for breaking news and coverage needs (weekday availability required; weekend availability is a plus)
🎯 Requirements
• At least 1–2 years experience in digital journalism or online publishing • Ability to independently write and publish clean, accurate news content on tight deadlines • Solid understanding of entertainment media and current pop culture trends • Familiarity with SEO and CMS tools • Knowledge of AP Style and adherence to in-house standards • Strong communication and time management skill
